"Loving God, forgive us our many sins: for being judgmental, unloving, focused on ourselves, lacking in mercy, hypocritical. We are sinful and flawed; use us anyway, by and for Your glory and purposes that we may all live quiet and peaceful lives. We need You. America needs You."
    - Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback at The Response.

"Father, our heart breaks for America… as a nation we have forgotten Who made us, Who protects us, Who blesses us, and for that we cry out for Your forgiveness. You call us to repent, Lord, and this day is our response. We give it all to You. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever."

On August 6, the nation will come together at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas for a solemn gathering of prayer and fasting for our country.

We believe that America is in a state of crisis. Not just politically, financially or morally, but because we are a nation that has not honored God in our successes or humbly called on Him in our struggles.

According to the Bible, the answer to a nation in such crisis is to gather in humility and repentance and ask God to intervene. The Response will be a historic gathering of people from across the nation to pray and fast for America.

    The Call Houston

This past weekend around 14,000 people gathered in Houston for the Call to gather together in massive fasting and prayer for America to come back to righteousness, for the ending of abortion, and the sending of a another Great Awakening to America.

Sunday night 10,000 gathered for five hours of prayer in a solemn assembly.

The following morning was tense in the spiritual realm. Two events were planned: a silent prayer march through the minority neighborhoods around the Planned Parenthood clinic, and a silent prayer siege around the Planned Parenthood clinic itself.

At the march around 10,000 silently walked through these minority neighborhoods as a subpoena to the consciences of the families of America.

The largest silent prayer siege ever took place that morning as 4,200 people stood for five hours straight as a wall around the 2nd largest abortion clinic in the world. The Lord poured out a supernatural spirit of grace and strength to stand and stay focused in prayer. For hours people were unmoved in their stance for life.

This event was a severe blow to the principalities and ideologies that keep our Nation in a choke-hold of immorality and ungodliness. We must remember that we “…do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against nthe rulers of the darkness of this age…” Eph 6:12

The Call Houston and the Planned Parenthood silent prayer siege has been featured on many different local and national news. (I’m pretty excited about that.) I believe this is a call to conscience through the news unintentionally bringing awareness. Here’s one local news video:
