On August 6, the nation will come together at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas for a solemn gathering of prayer and fasting for our country.

We believe that America is in a state of crisis. Not just politically, financially or morally, but because we are a nation that has not honored God in our successes or humbly called on Him in our struggles.

According to the Bible, the answer to a nation in such crisis is to gather in humility and repentance and ask God to intervene. The Response will be a historic gathering of people from across the nation to pray and fast for America.

First of All is an easy to use website that allows you to join with others in prayer for our governmental leaders. You can participate by either posting written prayers or video prayers. First of all utilizes a twitter-like prayer system where you can post an up to 140 character prayer for the official you are praying over. It’s very intuitive and allows you to pray in a very focused way which removes any kind of fear of ‘having to pray a really long, great prayer.’

In this time in our nation when our government is preparing to fund the killing of innocent babies with our tax money, unjustly penalize the American people, and send our nation down the path toward socialism, it is essential that we follow the exhortation in 1 Tim. 2:1 and pray for our leaders.
