The Gift of Righteousness - Mike Bickle (Rom. 3:21-31)

In this message Mike talks about Romans 3:21-31 and how we have all sinned and are not worthy of justification, but we are “justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus…” It’s not by our acts that we are justified/declared righteous in God’s sight, but it’s by faith, knowing that God has made a way for us to be called righteous.

Mike states God’s solution for all human beings is to give them the gift of righteousness (Rom. 3:21-31). The righteousness of God, or the very quality of God’s righteousness and purity, has been given freely to all sinners who will come to Jesus in faith and repentance.

Now the righteousness of God apart from the law [earning it] is revealed [openly manifest] … 22 through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. (Rom. 3:21-22)

Free Resource: Studies in the Book of Joel - Mike Bickle

IHOPU and Mike Bickle are offering this free class till the end of September! I highly recommend this class as it gives urgency to our hearts concerning the end times. Here is the course description:

Studies in the Book of Joel - Mike Bickle
    Friday, 2:00–5:00pm, August 20–September 24

The prophet Joel gave a precise overview of the end-time events, including the outpouring of the Spirit, the Battle of Jerusalem, the Armageddon campaign, and Jesus’ millennial kingdom. Joel’s message is essential for those who are called to be forerunner messengers. Joel teaches God’s people how to respond in light of the coming end-time revival and crisis. The book of Joel is essential for this hour of history.

Worth of Christ and Incessant Worship - Stephen Venable

Worship Set and Announcements end at 1:06:00.

In this teaching, Stephen Venable (instructor and dean at IHOPU) relates the movement of 24/7 prayer and worship to the worth of Jesus as the one who is most deserving of all of our adoration and praise all of the time. Worship is not a means to an end, it is the end. Before there were any needs that had to be met, bodies to be healed, or injustices to be ended, the beauty of the LORD warranted the incessant cries of the seraphim and the worship of the first man, Adam. God first and foremost made us to serve Him, not the other way around.

The past month I have been studying Genesis and the creation of the Earth before the Fall, and also before the flood. During this time God has been showing me a lot of what the next Age will look like. By understanding how the Earth was we can see a glimpse of how it will be, because it’s all going back to the Garden of Eden (means pleasure, delight.) (Isa. 11: 6-9)

This teaching is a great introduction into what Heaven and Earth is and how God created them to interact. I would say that the main premise is that God will bring Heaven and Earth together again in the next Age. That’s exciting!

    Living Life Without Regret
    Mike Bickle
    13 plays

Mike Bickle originally planned on speaking about the Millennial Kingdom, Jesus’ 1000-year reign on earth after His return. But He really felt led several minutes in to begin talking about our lifestyles in relation to that coming kingdom, and how it’s possible to stand before God on the day we meet Him and feel regret and pain in our hearts over not living a life fully given over to Him.

Mike ends up spending a lot of time discussing 1 Corinthians 3:12-15, where Paul says that some believers will actually suffer loss (verse 15) when they stand before Him.

This message really encourages and sobers up my heart to live a life that’s whole hearted. I don’t wanna squander a day!
